One of our proudest accomplishments this year was being rated 5 red stars by the Halliday Wine Companion 2023. A prestigious accolade, 5 red stars are awarded to outstanding wineries that regularly produce wines of exemplary quality and typicity.
We were also honoured to be included in the Real Review Top Wineries of Australia 2023, placing us among the top 250 wineries in the country and one of the select few from the Orange wine region.
Locally, we were delighted to excel at the Orange Wine Show Awards last year, taking home numerous accolades including Best Red, Best Exhibitor, Wine of Provenance, Best Older Chardonnay, Best Pinot Noir, and Best Shiraz. We also proudly won Cellar Door of the Year, a testament to our newly renovated and expanded Cellar Door.
Wine Excellence
Our M.A.W. Pinot Noir earned 95 points from renowned sommelier Shanteh Wale. A three-time Good Food Guide Sommelier of the Year nominee, Shanteh praised M.A.W in her review for Wine Pilot, noting that it “slinks its way into your heart at a price unmatched” and is the “epitome of elegance, vintage after vintage.” M.A.W also received 92 points from The Wine Front.
It’s not the only Winemaker Series wine that continues to attract attention. Our Eliza Riesling, achieved 93 points from The Wine Front, described as “fragrant, with depth, juiciness, and a delightful lemon sorbet finish.” This wine has impressed even self-proclaimed Riesling skeptics in Cellar Door, making it a standout wine across all of our experiences.
Our #Hashtag Series has also garnered acclaim. Earlier this year, Kasia Sobiesiak from The Wine Front awarded 93 points to our #009 Gamay 2022, calling it a “lithe expression of Gamay” and “simply beautiful.” Kasia also praised our #003 Amber 2022, giving it 92 points and noting its “perfectly detailed and very pretty” profile, akin to a light, savory rosé. The growing popularity of this series among our customers is exciting, as it represents a creative departure from traditional winemaking styles.
